We're merging two VAXClusters and I'm looking at ACLs. I'd like
to remove and replace OA$ADMIN on one VAXcluster as its hex value
conflicts with an identifier using the same value on the other
VAXcluster I will be removing and replacing the ACLs on the
files in the [ALLIN1] directory. Anyone see any problems with this
approach?
Thanks,

Agreed, but stating the obvious, as long as you give all the files and
users that you move from one cluster that used to have the OA$ADMIN
identifier the new version of it, it should be OK. This will probably
mean removing the identifier before copying the files across and
replacing it once it gets there. Actually there shouldn't be all that
many that this will apply too. More likely you'll have to regrant the
OA$ADMIN identifer to any Administrators you move.
