    Two users on the system get the following error when they enter ALL-IN-1.

    %OA-E-EOSST, Error opening System Symbol Table oa$data:system.pst--
      see Manager
          -RMS-E-FNF, file not found

    $ DIR OA$DATA:SYSTEM.PST/SEC  gives

| 2129.1 | Start checking why the users are special | SIOG::T_REDMOND | Thoughts of an Idle Mind | Wed Jan 20 1993 12:36 | 11 |
| The only thing that seems to be amiss with the SYSTEM.PST is that
    binary ACE (%X80010002) in the ACL. Just to be tidy I would use
    EDIT/ACL to remove the offending entry.

    Is there anything "special" about the two users who encounter the
    problem? Are they administrators? Do they have a special OAINI.SCP
    that does something with/to a system symbol? Maybe there is a problem
    with the system OAINI.SCP? They haven't attempted to redefine the
    OA$DATA or OA$DATA_SHARE logical in their LOGIN.COMs?

| Thank you for your quick help as usual,

    I removed the binary ACE %X80010002 but the problem continues. Both of
    them were administrators 4-5 months ago, but I had removed their
    administrator rights before the upgrade 2 moths ago. Both of them does
    not have any OAINI.SCP or any definition in their LOGIN.COM which
    defines OA$DATA. This problem exists since the upgrade.

    Do you have any suggestions about what to check,

    Best regards,

| Often this *sort* of error, although normally a slightly different one,
    happens if the user who gets the problem has the admin flag in the
    profile set to "Y", but they don't have the OA$ADMIN ACL.
