| | Hi Ricardo,
If by "concurrently" your customer means to use the split Sender/Fetcher
capability, they will indeed be supported. While this feature may be
described in the "book of knowledge" (sic), it is also described in the
ALL-IN-1 "Mail Management Guide" official documentation.
FWIW, internal U.S.ofA. production ALL-IN-1 systems have used the split
Sender and Fetcher for years to help pass the abundance of electronic mail
generated within and without the company ... 8^)
   Hthy,
	Ron

| | Ricardo,

I'm not sure what you mean by 'supported' in this context.

I would have thought it was up to each country CSC to determine what is
and isn't supported taking into account what is in the SPD and the
level of back-up support available to them from Engineering.

Of course as Ron said the split Sender/Fetcher is documented in the
Mail Management Guide so in that context it is supported.

    Regards,

my customer is finally looking seriously looking at this. the big
concern that they have is if the SENDER and FETCHER run in the same
queue what is there to prevent 2 SENDERS or 2 FETCHERS to be running at
    the same time?

you can either customise OAMTIMAIL and OAMTISEND to check xyzzyLOCK.DAT
in a similar way to the standard code, but just for that particular
direction; or why not create a VMS queue for each job, with a JOBLIM
of 1?
mb
or maybe ask in A1INFO to find out what the future might bring!!!!
