I have an application that requires the ability to delete a
shared drawer document even if another user has that document
as their current document. The second user is not editing, or
reading the document, they just have the document selected as the
current document on form WP. The account deleting the document is
the owner of the shared drawer, and is using CAB DELETE_DOCUMENT.
Is there any way to delete a document that is in the current document
window of another user???
Thanks,
Mike

Hi,
You're not the first to ask for this so it is our intention in a PFR to
downgrade the lock to a NULL lock if the document is in the context
block but not being acted on. If you cannot wait then you can customise
the pre-processing of the menu forms to add a CABINET LOCK "NULL" at
the end of the pre-processing. Since the pre-processing is near the 255
char. limit on some forms you would need to make it a XOP.
Cheers
Stuart
