| | What type of documents are you creating (e.g. WPS-PLUS, ASCII, etc.), and
what version of ALL-IN-1 are you using?

|  |     Hello,

    I'm using ALL-IN-1 version 2.4 for creating and editing texts with WPS
    (PLUS or not PLUS, don't know - How can I see that ?).

    Texts are standard texts files, and I want to use the different fonts
    for a nice and funny printed document.

    Jean-Pierre.

| | The WPS-PLUS control block command you need is PRINTER FONT, for example:
    ------------------------------START CONTROL---------------------------
    PRINTER FONT 10_POINT_ROMAN
    -------------------------------END CONTROL----------------------------
The fonts that can be specified depend on the font cartridges being used.
There are not many fonts available in a standard LN03 printer.

| | Refer to Keywords.wpl in OA$LIB: to get the full list of these printer
    command keywords.

    Import it into ALL-IN-1 using DT RV to read/print it.

| 1655.10 | It was new with WPS-PLUS V4 | IOSG::NEWLAND | Richard Newland, IOSG, REO1-D/4A | Tue Oct 27 1992 16:01 | 13 |
| | The file will only exist if you are using:
	ALL-IN-1 V2.4 with the WPS-PLUS V4 Update Option
	ALL-IN-1 V3.0 (with WPS-PLUS V4.1 integrated)
I think Jean-Pierre is using a system running ALL-IN-1 V2.4 (with WPS-PLUS
V3.1 integrated).

| 1655.13 | Good and bad news | MFOIS1::TURCHI | From South of France | Fri Oct 30 1992 16:10 | 19 |
|  |     Hello,

    Well, I received KEYWORDS.WPL (thanks, Richard) by MAIL and read it.
    Very interesting, but too much informations for my little
    configuration!!!
    As said in a previous reply, I can change fonts using START CONTROL,
    END CONTROL and a sentence between. Works fine with 6.7 & 10 POINT
    COURIER, 10 POINT ELITE, NORMAL (power-up font) and LANDSCAPE also,
    with the 4 fonts.
    But I cannot print with other fonts: if I try OCR_A, or 10_POINT_US
    _LEGAL, or some others, I get a full black character. Full, because
    place of the character is fully black. Black rectangles, you see ?
    Cannot print borders, too.

    Maybe my ALL-IN-1 system is missing some tables ? Don't know...

    More ideas ?
    Have a nice week-end,
    Jean-Pierre.

| 1655.14 | Font cartridges | IOSG::NEWLAND | Richard Newland, IOSG, REO1-D/4A | Fri Oct 30 1992 16:20 | 11 |
| | Most of the LN03 fonts listed in KEYWORDS.WPL are only available if you
have the required font cartridge inserted into the LN03 front panel. If
you request a font which is not available you get a blank rectangle.
Therefore it is your LN03 which is missing fonts rather than your ALL-IN-1
system missing tables. The LN03 Test page lists the fonts which are loaded
into the printer.

| 1655.15 | Comparisons | MFOIS1::TURCHI | From South of France | Mon Nov 02 1992 09:40 | 16 |
|  | Hello Richard,
I've done some comparisons between test-sheet and the texts I print : If you
look at a test-sheet, starting at BOTTOM of sheet, the first 2 lines you see
are printed with 10_POINT_COURIER font, then the next 2 lines use the NORMAL
font, and the next 2 use 10_POINT_ELITE. Right ? The next 2 lines, LANDSCAPE
mode, seem to use 6.7_POINT_COURIER. This looks fine for me.
But starting with top of patterns, you can see 2 lines of big characters in
landscape mode, printed with which FONT ???
Any idea on how to have borders ?
Thanks for your replies, have a nice day,
Jean-Pierre.

If you are referring to the DMDRGTH font then I don't think WPS-PLUS
supports this.
> Any idea on how to have borders ?
I don't think WPS-PLUS supports borders on an LN03.
You may get more information by asking in the MAGIC::WPS-PLUS-V3
conference.

    The big letters are only on the ln03+. They can be accessed with the
    escape chars <ESC>[19m - To access from WPSPLUS you would have to add a
    keyword and use a control block.

| | Thanks for your reply, Glenn, but the big letters I was talking about
    are printed on the test-sheet, so I assume my LN03 can print with this
    font.

    This discussion continues on MAGIC::WPS-PLUS-V3, note 1702.
