A customer has just upgraded to ALL-IN-1 3.0, and she is seeing a
problem with two of her users acocunts. When the user log in, they get
an error that the logical OA$TEMP couldn't be created.

Their ALL-In-1 sub-cirectory contents looks like the 2.4 one (ie, no
    OA$TEMP directory, NICKNAMES.DAT not OANICKNAMES.DAT.)

I assume (I know, dangerous ground!) that when a user goes into an
ALL-IN-1 system for the first time after an upgrade, ALL-IN-1 will
check the contents of their ALL-IN-1 sub-directory, and 'upgrade' it if
    neccessary.

Where is this 'upgrading' of the filecab done? I can't find it
anywhere, so I assume (again!) that it's hidden in code somewhere?

If I blow away the .PST file for the user, and go into ALL-IN-1, they
    get the following errors:

    "Problem with copy finction"
"Error opening AIE-file. Error creating !AS"
    "Error creating version 2 file."
"Error converting actitem.dat see your system manager."

It looks like an error is stopping the 'upgrade' procedure, but until I
know where this is done, it makes it kind of hard to try to follow
    whats going on.

    Thanx

    Steve.

| The creation of the OA$TEMP directory and logical name and is performed by code in the Oa$Ini_Set_Temp_Dir routine in the OAINI module. This routine checks to see if the OA$TEMP directory exists and if not will create it. Therefore, it should be created when a user runs ALL-IN-1 V3.0 for the first time. The error message 'Error creating logical OA$TEMP' will also be displayed if the OA$TEMP directory cannot be created. Can you create directories and files in these user's ALL-IN-1 main directory using DCL commands? Richard | |||||

| Make sure that version limits aren't set to 1 for the user's
        ALL-IN-1 subdirectory.
