Using Nicknames causes Overhead
when having the following situation:
When oa$dds_prime = 2
and the Nickname created picked up his mail address is coming from the
mail directory. For example Nickname= Boss
adress= pieceofsurname + PF1 L
which fills in the complete surname as address. (only the surname) !
Now when sending a mail and entering the Nickname as a To: address
the message is sent using the reverse lookup adress although this is
a local ALL-IN-1 user. So there is no need to pass thru Message Router.
Although I know this is the way it is supposed to work, I'm asking
if it could be done , when creating the Nickname this way to detect
if its a local reverse lookup adres then only retain the username for
building the address ?
regards,
Luc Vebraeken.

I don't think you can do this. When a nickname is entered on form EMHEAD, the nickname address is always validated, even if it already looks like a validated mail address. So even if you customised the nicknames form to make your nickname addresses look like "Name ( Address )", ALL-IN-1 would still validate the "Address" part on form EMHEAD, and as OA$DDS_PRIME=2, this is going to go to DDS.
