Can anyone point me to documentation or a knowledgeable source to
answer the question of what will a customer who now uses Shared
File Cabinet (the formet ASSET who's functionality is now included in
version 3) need to do when he transitions to version 3 in order to keep
all maintained as previously set up?

Is this question related to what's in the official documentation set
or are you asking a question over and above that?
For the official doc set there's
Installation Guide Part 1 section 10.9 discusses the actual migration
that takes place as a post-install task.
relase notes - a bit on known problems
Management Guide - Chapter 9 - How a System Manager manages shared
filing
users' Ref - Chapter 4 - how a user manages his/her drawers (so to
speak!)
There's also an excellent article in the August 92 Information Update
which is announced in note 9.5
I Know that's a lot of reading but hopefully some of it will answer
your questions but if it doesn't let us know.
