customer curently is running the following housekeeping jobs
EW weekly
TRU monthly
TRM monthly
RSF monthly
he wants to have TRU and TRM run quarterly. aside frm the procedure
itself taking a long time to finish - are there any "gotchas" we need
to be aware of? there are approx 1300 users.
the reason he wants to do this is because he doesn't like the fact that
ALL-IN-1 is unavailable for most of a weekend while housekeeping jobs
run. right now the EW (with reorganize) takes approx 12-14 hours. if
you add on another 3 hours form TRU/TRM them that is close to 20 hours
that ALL-IN-1 is "down" once a month.
any thoughts?

It is possible to run TRM per mailarea and TRU and EW per department.
Then you only have to run these HKP more often.

For a job like EW has the customer considered not shutting down
ALL-IN-1? With V3 of ALL-IN-1 the effect would be if a user was still
logged in and had a drawer open:
a) The Wastebasket would be emptied of all documents unless the user's
current document was in the Wastebasket, in which case all documents
except that document would be deleted.
b) The Drawer files of the current drawer would not be reorganised
(DOCDB and DAF). The drawer files of inactive drawers would be
reorganised.
I would have thought that if EW is scheduled to run at off-peak times
then these restrictions would be acceptable.
TRM and RSF do require a shutdown. TRU can run whilst the system is up.
