Could someone clarify for me please why you cannot MDK the manager's
account? Is it because MDK tries to move the whole VMS account rather
than just the sub-directory and therefore it would try and move the
    ALLIN1.dir too?

A customer has been recommended that they move the manager's account
off of the ALL-IN-1 system disk for performance reasons. Would this
be a feasible idea or do the housekeeping jobs rely on the manager's
account being under the ALL-IN-1 directory, and log files etc?

Or could I simply copy the .MGR directory by hand to the other disk
and create an ALLIN1.DIR above it with no other files in and change
    the profile directory spec?

    Many thanks

| Hello Julia,

I can imagine that moving the manager account causes problems
because the manager account is used to do the move.

    Moving yourself is quit hard.

A1CONFIG contains a field that point to the .mgr dir of
the manager. Used for the MTI log and err files and the
tranfer dirs. You have to change this manually.

What was the justification for this advice ?!?

    Regards,
