| | Make sure you reset the primary language flag in A1CONFIG. Also delete
the Dutch record from A1CONFIG. It's probably safer to link as a single
    language system too.

You'll have redundant records in the SDC elements file (CM$SDC) and
possibly in the spell checker files.

Make sure no-one has Dutch in their profile language field, and that
you've emptied all the Dutch language wastebaskets and all the other
system folders (INBOX etc.) have been refiled to their English
    equivalents.

If the system works now, there shouldn't be any problem with C
component things. There might be when you upgrade....

| | C component should not be an issue, since both, Dutch and US C
    component support English language.

But think of the Default language entries for all users who have to
    switch language.

Finally, I'm not sure whether documents archived in Dutch can be
accessed after the Dutch language has been deleted from the system

| | Thanks,

I've tried it and it almost works. You've also to redefine the logical
OA$DEFAULT_LANGUAGE otherwise A1LINK.COM will exit after the check if
the language which is to be linked equals OA$DEFAULT_LANGUAGE.

    Martin,

Also get rid of your Dutch customizations. I don't know how many
applications are left which are defined to use the DUTCH
application area (V3.0 terminology) but when they still exist after
deleting the Dutch environment they can be compared with
    'orphanelements'.

Associated are the DUTCH records in:

    	CM$LANGUAGES
CM$FORM$LIBS	-> Options SM CSZ LFL
    			-> Records: LOCK_OA$SITE_DEV_DUTCH:DEVELOP.FLB
    				    OA$SITE_DEV_DUTCH:DEVELOP.FLB

    Ciao,
