| | Yes, David, it should.
OA$MTI_AREA should be defined in the SYSTEM table, as /EXEC, on ALL nodes of
the cluster which run ALL-IN-1.
Any chance this might not have been completely true when the message was sent?

| | Er, sorry about the beginning of that - what I should have said is that the
value of OA$MTI_AREA should be appended to the sender's name and all local
recipients so that reply to all will work.
The other possibility is that the recipient's node doesn't have the area code
defined to MR - if you still can't see a problem, please post the addresses
and the non-delivery itself.

| | GASH,

Um since the system is using DDS isn't it the value of
OA$DDS_AREA_ROUTE that gets appended to the from field.

OA$MTI_AREA is only used on OA$DDS_PRIME = 0 systems since oh about
    1988.

    Re .0,

what is the value of OA$DDS_AREA_ROUTE, go to the EM menu and do a
    <GET on it.

    Regards,

| | Well, I defined OA$MTI_AREA, and the next day (after a re-boot, natch)
    all was OK.

Symbol OA$DDS_AREA_ROUTE is @A1@COSME3@RHC. Replies to mail messages
are now getting through, so all seems to be OK - it has the area routing
code appended to the sender's name.

    Thanks for all you help.

    David.
