    	The "already exists" messages tell me you are in trouble.

    	It means that you have run PAT more than once on the same account
    	and this does not work. There are several notes in this conference
    	about this, and several STARS articles, but basically I would
    	suggest you get out the backups.

    	I also assume you are on V2.4 of ALL-IN-1, if you are on V3.0 then
    	disregard my remarks, all is well in V3.0 and it doesn't screw (to
    	use a technical term) the account if run multiple times.

    	The log file from the FIRST run of PAT would be useful and might
    	say what went wrong. Subsequent logfiles are not useful.

    Regards,
    Paul

    The "already exists message" are only informative messages. I`m
    assuming that the messages are pumped out when MUA_PAT.COM is run
    a second time and tries to re-create the OA$TRANSFER:[username...]
    directories and sub-directories.

    Why do I need the backups? I`ve checked the account following every
    retry and I can read documents without any problems.

    I`ve verified all the STARS articles that I could find and all seems
    well with what I`m doing as well as with my proxies, account quotas
    etc..

    Any pointers to the notes ion this conference that would help?

    Thanks,
    Ben Robillardf

| 1102.3 | Take a trace | IOSG::TALLETT | Arranging bits for a living... | Mon Jul 27 1992 18:14 | 11 |

    	Okay, if you say the account is okay then maybe I was too
    	swift to condemn it! :-) You don't need the other notes if
    	you don't need to recover.

    	Customise MUA_PAT.COM to add an OA$TRA_SET SCRIPT,SYMBOL,TERM
    	before it calls the script and post a *POINTER* to the logfile
    	and I'll take a peek.

| 1102.4 | BAD MUA_PAT_ARCHIVE.COM | POLAR::ROBILLARDB |  | Mon Jul 27 1992 21:43 | 8 |

    	I got some help from the CSC group in Hull, Quebec and they helped
    	me with the trace you recomended. It ended up that my
    	MUA_PAT_ARCHIVE.scp had been hacked by someone. We got a clean
    	one from the non-"SITE" directory.

    	Thanks,
    	Ben Robillard
