Due to the changes in character tables from MMCS to ISO LATIN 5, I have
to convert some characters to some specific characters in all the
documents of the users in our office, I have already written the
scripts which run without problem.
Assuming that I am converting all x characters to w in the documents of
the users, after editing the document I am using an UDP like :
{GOLD ;}x{CR}y{CR}
This does what I want but I am loosing attributes of x ie. if it is a
bold x the output is w which is no more bold, or if x is underlined the
output w is not undelined.
Can sombody please sugget me a way of doing this, I am almost at the
end of 3 months project and stucked at this position.
Any help will be appreciated,
Best regards,
Tansu YEGEN @TWI
PS: We are using WPS-PLUS V3.0 but I tried to run the scripts on
WPS-PLUS V4.0 and nothing did change.

I changed the title of the base note to give a bit more of a clue to
the contents of the topic.
I am not an expert on WPS-PLUS as regulars know. However, I believe
that the rendition options on the GOLD M menu inside of WPS-PLUS might
solve your problem. I don't have any documentation so I can't get the
exact meaning but I believe that if the following is done you will have
joy:
Insert mode with renditions (Y/N): Y
Of course, I've been wrong before.
If that doesn't work (you'll have to add this to the UDP, of course)
then you may have to learn all the fun of using the TEXT_FILE function
as it would support what you need.
Good luck,
don
