| | Well I guess there are different points you could insert the filter

    1) At the Incoming GAteway - don't think it is easily customised.
    2) At the 'Fetch' Stage - again not that easy from API
    3) At the read stage - easy - but not gauranteed... Just check the
       sender address and see if it has the mailbox x400 in it... Mind you
    this doesn't gaurantee that somehow x400 got into the address
    elsehow...
    4) use alternate addressing that is executed on the way back in.
       x400 is already an example of this, isn't it ?

| 696.2 | Message Router journalling ? | IOSG::SHOVE | Dave Shove -- REO-D/3C | Mon May 18 1992 16:42 | 7 |
| | Also it's possible to set up Message Router to "journal" all messages.
    I can't remember if you can do this for just a specific mailbox - if
    so that n=might let you do what you want.

    Try asking in FORTY2::MAILBUS.

    Dave.

| 696.3 | X400 -- /NBS_KEEP | MSDSWS::DUNCAN | I'm in trouble again! | Tue May 19 1992 13:34 | 14 |
| | I think that if you turn journalling on, it will do it for all
    mailboxes!

    If this is only for X400 Mail, then from MRXMAN you need to turn on
    NBS_KEEP which will keep all *.NBS files; you will have to clean them
    up--delete them. You can turn this on for all your MRX mail or by MTA
    so that only mail going to MTA x will be journaled.

    Hope this helps.

    Let me say E-Mail just one more time so that this note is in ther right
    place.  E-MAIL!!   ;-)

| 696.4 | Do it in ALL-IN-1. | HGOVC::LIKSANGCHOW |  | Thu May 21 1992 04:43 | 13 |

    Thanks for all the suggestions.

    Now what I've decided to do, as re .1 said, is to forward a copy to the
    controllers during RN.

    Now, go back to the copying for outgoing mail. Is it possible to
    modify the CC list behind the scene ? What I'll do is to modify the CC
    list when user enter S to send a message but before it's actually being
    sent out.

    Cheers,
    Sang.

| | Yep No problem, just do a

    mail cc addressee

    before the mail send.

    Looks like ALL-IN-1 will not translate a distribution list when I use
    MAIL CC function. Anyway to trigger translation ?

    Cheers,

    Yes, of course, MAIL_EXPAND_DIST_LIST.

    Sorry for doing my own conversation here :).

    Cheers,
