|  |     G'day,

    Yes there is a technical update course offered by both customer and
    internal training.

    This training covers all aspects of technical differences including labs.
    I am currently delivering this course in Sydney to internals as well as
    customers. If you would like more details please send mail to
    trning::moon.

| 632.2 | Sunil can you teach us??? | AIMTEC::WICKS_A | The Mancs will NEVER win the lge | Wed May 06 1992 01:57 | 16 |
|  |     Darryl,

    well I don't know what time it is in Sydney but Sunil's using some very
    creative spelling tonight (or is it tomorrow morning).

    The Technical Update course isn't much of a secret as almost all
    the notes with titles such as "general v3.0 questions", "some more
    v3.0 questions" all through this notes file are from people teaching
    this course up, down and across the U.S. I think that the EY numbers
    were posted in the archived version of this conference. It's basically
    a what's new/changed in v3.0 course but i'll defer to my good friend
    Steve for a full description.

    Regards,

    Andrew.D.Wicks (who has seen the material in the course)

| 632.3 | I just want to make sure | MSDSWS::DUNCAN | I'm in trouble again! | Wed May 06 1992 03:44 | 25 |
|  |     Andrew,

    I've seen some of the notes you were talking about, if not all of them.

    I know about the ones offered by the CSC folks and the one by the good
    people across the BIG water. ;-) And now there is this one which I just
    found out about that I will contact Candy about.

    All I want to do is to make sure I go to the right course as we all
    know that is tight to all of us. I would like to wait to Tony's (or
    whoever from over there) class but if it is going to be many months
    before it is offered in the US then I can't wait. And going to one
    here and one there at the CSC would not look good to my manager; what
    could be classified as one class would look like many. So I guess that
    leaves me with the "latest" one I found out about.

    Are there others? ;-)

    If there are others listed in these notes files, then I am truley sorry
    as I do not mean to waste anybody's time with something that I can
    find. But then again, it wouldn't be the first time. :-)

    Regards,
    Darryl

    Darryl,

    Everything is done to get "Tony's class" offered towards the end of
    August (this year). Not everything is firm yet, that's the reason
    for the slight hesitation in the first sentence.

    If you can wait for the announcements, you're welcome.

    Ciao,

    	Simon

| 632.5 | Yes I'll teach you all if you have the correct kit | GIDDAY::SETHI | Man from Downunder | Thu May 07 1992 06:07 | 17 |
|  |     G'day Andrew,

    Re: .2

    >well I don't know what time it is in Sydney but Sunil's using some very
    >creative spelling tonight (or is it tomorrow morning).

    Well it's obvious to me that you have not heard about the
    British/Indian/East African English dialect with a touch of Australian.
    Can you tell me when this kit is available ? I would also like to know if
    it has the correct spellchecker available with it ?

    Yes I can teach you all this course providing you have the kit
    available for the course. :-) :-)

    As posted earlier (somewhere) there are 2 flavors of the Technical
    Update Seminar. A 3-day version for Customers and a 5 day version for
    internal folks. The part number for the 5 day version is EY-134E-L0.

    I can't speak toward its presence or absence in the ES offerring schedule,
    nor to the number of instructors who were able to attend the pilots.

    The Australian DSAB was last mentioned in 2570.48 of the archived
    version of this conference although STARS lists references to it in
    various of the other archived conferernces.

    Maybe it is time that the full gory details about the Australian DSAB
    were told once again??

    I'll try and remember to ask my fellow co-moderators of this conference
    about this at the ALL-IN-1 10th Birthday Party tonight unless it's
    already in the new book.

    Off home to put my 'glad rags' on ....

    Regards,

    All those who went to the original V2.0 field test training will
    never forget Tony R.s discourse on this great DSAB.

| 632.10 | U.S. Advanced Technical Seminar; August 22-26 | SIOG::T_REDMOND | Thoughts of an Idle Mind | Sun May 10 1992 23:10 | 24 |
| | To get the trivia straight, I went through the history of the
    Australian DSAB at a drinks party after the ALL-IN-1 10-year in Atlanta
    last week. The customers liked it....

    Anyway, to get to the important stuff. I can now confirm that the full,
    explict, behind-the-scenes, ALL-IN-1 V3.0 Advanced Technical Seminar
    will be offered in Atlanta on August 22-26. Send mail to John Shack
    @OFO to receive further details. John provided customers with a flyer
    outlining the contents of the seminar at DECUS last week and we had a
    lot of very good reaction, probably enough to fill the seminar.

    We will take Digital attendees, but please understand that your
    registrations go to the back of the class.

    We will be teaching this seminar in VBO next week (starting on May 18).
    This is a kind of "warm up" for us as we haven't taught the seminar
    before. I believe that some places are still available, but most of the
    current places are occupied by Digital people thus indicating that many
    customers haven't yet taken the tapes out of the boxes and started to
    think about upgrading yet. In fact, most customers that I have met
    don't know about the seminar which goes to prove that we have to do a
    better job of promotion.

    Tony
