| | After he Creates a document, and wishes to GOLF FILE it...
	Hmmm... that's a new one... maybe I'll have to putter around with that
for a bit...  8^)
	Anyway, I'd assume your user isn't using WPS-PLUS, since without a
GOLF (sic) key, they'd be pretty hopeless (although I would imagine that even
in EDT, I'd be missing something without the GOLD key). In any case, there are
generally other ways to exit an editor. If it *is* EDT, the user can always
use Ctrl-Z, followed by the EX command. But frankly, without some way to
duplicate the GOLD key, this user's going to have more problems than just
exiting the editor.

    Yes...I meant GOLD.  ;-)

    He does use WPS-PLUS. I should think that there would be an alternate
    key with the GOLD function, in this instance. We just don't know what
    it is, or how to find out.

    thanks.

| 599.3 | key mapping is a terminal emulator feature | IOSG::MARCHANT | Only parrots succeed | Wed Apr 29 1992 23:51 | 7 |
| | It seems to me, your customer needs a decent terminal emulator.
    I suspect you might have better luck in a notesfile dedicated to
    Apple products, e.g. the macintosh notesfile.
    Cheers,
        Paul.

| | Doesn't the Mac have any function keys? After all, F10 is a File Document
also.....
EDT style would make more sense though, in this case.

| 599.5 | Pulldown keypads! | TRCOA::HALSEY | I'd rather be sailing! | Tue May 05 1992 22:22 | 11 |
| | On the VERY brief experience I've had with a Powerbook, there was no
    actual keys for the keypad and function keys. The only way to get at
    them (that I found anyway) was a pulldown keymap, then you move your
    mouse (sorry, ball) pointer to the appropriate key location and hit the
    button!

    This was using the MAC241 terminal emulator. There was a pulldown for
    the keypad, and a different pulldown for the function and mini-keypad.
    It was a real pain to use.
