| There is no great way to audit or track mail for ALL-IN-1. The most
complete information available is OA$MTI_LOG: which logs every mail
message sent on the local system. It does not contain the names of the
receivers however.
It does give the name of the file in the shared areas so you could do
some spying from there as long as the files remains on the local node.

| But if you want the ability to audit or track mail.... then EARS
(available now) or TeamRoute (available shortly) allows that
functionality.
NOT for all mail - but certainly you could create "important" mail
using TeamRoute, and then have the ability to track it.

Where can I get more information on 'EARS' ??
(sorry, I'm from the ULTRIX world and don't recognize
the acronym).

| Larry,
'EARS' is the ALL-IN-1 Electronic Authorization and Routing System. It
is an SSB product, so the SPD is available through VTX. There is a
Notes conference at OAWEGO::EARS. If that's not enough, the latest kit
and all the documentation are in SHALOT::EARS$PUBLIC:EARS021_KIT.SAV
and EARS021_DOC.SAV.

| I believe that there is a pointer to the ALL-IN-1 EARS VAX Notes
conference in topic 4 of this conference but while I'm typing I'll add
it to this note as well. It is at OAWEGO::EARS and I'll try to
remember to add the pointer to this reply so that you can add it via
the SELECT or KP7 key.
There used to be a public area on SHALOT::EARS$PUBLIC that had
presentations and the like which could help you learn more about
ALL-IN-1 EARS. It may have been 'rightsized', however.
ALL-IN-1 EARS most certainly would be an easy way to do what is
described and can be easily customized to fit the customer's way of
working. Based on my last look at TeamRoute which was the last time or
two that it was 'about to release' I would say that it would be
difficult to modify to make it as transparent to the users.
