| | The obvious thing to suggest is for the customer to elaborate as to
what doesn't work. What are the error messages, if any?
Are there errors when the startup procedure is executed?
The most likely error condition would be that the disks in
[.DATA_SHARE]A1CONFIG.DAT do not exist or are not the same logical
names that exist on the new node. The easiest way to correct this is
to go onto the running system and change a copy of the file (make a
backup copy) of A1CONFIG to conform to the environment on the new node.
    Good luck,
    don

| | Done this alot of times, but I always (have to) use the trail-and-error
    method. Actually one time I wrote a scenario-script for it (V2.1 V2.3).

    Good luck, Sjaak.

| | Thanks for your replies. I wish I had more to go on too. I assume that
I'll find out what the "real" problem is when I get there. Looking at
the logical disk assignments is a good place to start.

| | As well as A1CONFIG that Don mentions in .1, if that's wrong, then it's
likely that all the PROFILE records will be worng too, and also the two
data files that define the SDAF and shared area locations - They're
    called something like OA$SHARED_DAF_MASTER.DAT and
    OA$SHARED_DIRECTORY_MASTER.DAT.

    Good luck,

    Graham
