I have a customer who wants to change the user naming conventions in
mid stream. Other than doing a 'rename account' on every user account,
is there any way to accomplish this? Perhaps scripting or UDPing?
I think I know the answer, but I'm usually better off asking.
Thanks,
Dave Kinney

Dave,
Depends what he wants to change the usernames from and to what. A hack
could be/may be found if more details were available.
I would go for the UDP sounds like a much better idea to me because
they are easy to write. If the customer can write down all the steps
to change the first user he can use that as a template to cut and paste
the rest of the changes.
Tell the customer that the advantage of using a UDP is that he could
sit in front of the terminal and pretend that he is typing it all in.
Besides that a UDP is easy to create and check I hope !!!
