| | OA$MTI_LIMIT_LISTS is a switch that tells ALL-IN-1 if it should limit the
number of TOs and CCs so that the SDAF record is small enough to be handled
by a pre-V2.3 ALL-IN-1 system.
In V2.3 the maximum size of a SDAF record was increased by a factor of 512.
This allows many more attributes, the most popular ones being TOs and CCs.
The down-side of this is that if you build a mail message with a large number
of TOs and CCs and send it to a pre-V2.3 system then the recieving system
will not be able to handle the mail.
If this logical is set to 1 the maximum number of TOs and CCs is artificially
limited to about 800 (I can't remember the exact number) and if this logical
is set to 0 there is no limit on the number of TOs and CCs appart from the
fact that they must all fit into the SDAF (In practice this means a limit
somewhere in the region of 500,000 attributes, but the actual limit depends
on the size of the attributes).

	Andy
In ALL-IN-1 V2.3 there was a problem where if the total size of the
DAF attributes exceeded a certain number of bytes (I can't remember
the exact limit). This can be translated into "a problem with a large
number of addressees on a message as these are held as attributes in
	the DAF.
This was fixed in ALL-IN-1 V2.4 when the total size of attributes was
increased. However, if a message with a large number of addressees is
created in ALL-IN-1 V2.4 and sent to a recipient on an ALL-IN-1 V2.3
system various symptoms will be seen e.g Acc Vio in the Fetcher.
In order to restrict the number of addressees on a mail message so that
it does not blow up a V2.3 system you can set the logical
OA$MTI_LIMIT_LISTS on the ALL-IN-1 V2.4 system. There is no need to do
this if all the ALL-IN-1 systems in your network are at V2.4 or above as
they can cope with a larger total attribute size.
	Hope this helps
	Cheers

| | Jill,
I thought that the maximum total attribute size increased with V2.3 not
V2.4 and therefore the logical should be set to 1 if you have pre-V2.3
ALL-IN-1 systems on the network, but V2.3 and V2.4 can exchange mail
with a large number of attributes without any problem.
