VMS 5.4-2. ALL-IN-1/British V2.4 Patched to 603. No WPS V4.
All users (including priv accounts) getting above error when using Gold J
Thesaurus. British spell checker and Useage Alert are readily available.
This problem usualy occurs when LNG* images are missing, not installed or no world
read. However in this case they all seem to be ok - directory listing below.
I have tried the DIC CMD British option, and changed language using Gold J but
still no joy.
The only anomoly is that this system has been upgraded directly from ALL-IN-1
V2.2 using their own kit build. Strange thing is it works on the customers
development machine using the same kit.
I have all of the images that the customer has plus;
LNGSPLCOR.EXE, LNGSPLNDX.EXE and LNGSPLHLP.HLB
They are awaiting shipping this kit to 60 sites, hence this issue is becoming
rather political.
Can anybody assist me with the cause of this error ?
Tracing, set watch files, sho dev/files have not been very enlightening!

| Thanks to Suzanne Cooper the fix has been identified.
SYS$LIBRARY:LNGSPLAET.LGS should have STREAM_LF record format, any other will
cause this error.
