| | Sorry about the access problems, these have been fixed, and the kit can be
copied.
Something I forgot to say in .0
Please note, This kit works ONLY with DECwindows V3, and is strictly
	** FOR DIGITAL INTERNAL USE ONLY **, under no circumstances should
	it under any form leave digital, due to our legal comitments on LCI.
re .1
	An ULTRIX version is planned, and will be available when testing of
the widget set, and LCI interfaces have been completed on the platforms.

| 3676.5 | Watch out for existing versions of LCI | INBLUE::SAUNDERS | A WINDOW in any Language | Tue Nov 20 1990 11:32 | 24 |
| | The CONTINUE is a bug in the installation procedure, as its in the IVP section
it doesnt do any harm, and was only there to stop against NM not existing
on machines (I need to know who has installed the kit for future reference!).
However the kit contains TWO part, the spell widget sets, and LCI. The LCI
part is not installed if SYS$STARTUP::LCI$STARTUP.COM exists. However it seems
that some machines have old versions of LCI on them, that are not compatible
with the current LCI code. As such if you experience the problem reported
in .-1 you must prform the following.
	rename the SYS$STARTUP:LCI$STARTUP.COM to some other filename.
	deassign all logicals begining LCI$
if you then re-install the kit, it will install the new version of LCI, and
the widget set will run correctly.
It has occured to me that the old LCI version may have been installed by
a previous version of DECWrite, and installing this kit may interfere with the
correct running of linguistics aids within DECWrite, as such if this is indead
the case you may wish to refrain from installing these widgets.
Sorry
	Jim

| 3676.6 | New Version | INBLUE::SAUNDERS | A WINDOW in any Language | Thu Nov 22 1990 09:19 | 20 |
| | I've placed a new version of the DXMSPELL kit in :-
FIZBUZ::FIZBUZ$DUA0:[SAUNDERS.DXMSPELL]DXMSPELL0003.*
This kit fixes the problems with the installation procedure, some minor bugs in
the Spell, and Demo images. It also has the latest version og LCI, which
contains some performance improvememnts, and additional language support
in spell.
This kit also contains the .H files, and Include files which will allow
applications programmers to activated the widgets from there applications.
These .H, .UIL, and the source to the demo program, can all be extracted
from the .A saveset if needed. Included in the .A saveset is a Specification
of the Widget Set.
Any feedback on the UI, or the useability of the Widget Set would be greatly
appreciated.
Jim
