3642.0. "TPU goes bang decw v3" by DSTEG1::HOSSFELD (I'm so confused!) Mon Nov 12 1990 13:07

I have just upgraded to vms 5.4 and dwv3 and now can't run decw/tpu from a 
remote system. It starts up ok but when I cut some text it crashes.

X Toolkit Error: internal error - corrupt data structure
%DWT-F-DWTABORT, xtoolkit fatal error

and in netserver log is 
%NONAME-F-NOMSG, Message number 03F2EE1C

The remote sys is ssb 5.3

Any Help?

Ps. It works fine in char cell

    There is a known toolkit problem in IFT with TPU and applications
    that use it.  To be more specific, the problem could show up with
    any XUI application which calls XtNameToWidget or XtOpenDisplay.
    This problem will be fixed for EFT.

    There is a fixed version of DECW$DWTSHR.EXE available.  See topic 917
    in the DECdecision conference on REGAL.  The fix can be found in
    REGAL::$PROJ1:[DECW_V3].  Copy the file to sys$common:[syslib] and
    replace the installed image as follows:
    
    $ install/replace sys$library:DECW$DWTSHR.EXE
