3629.0. "DECwindows always asks to save settings" by BUGEYE::CLARY () Sat Nov 10 1990 07:49
I am posted this note in the MOTIF notes, and I am posting it here
just in case this is not a MOTIF problem. Any help would be
    appreciated.

Note 783.0 DECwindows always says settings have changed 5 replies

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am running VMS 5.4A and MOTIF V1.1 on a 3100 with one color and one
mono screen, and I am experiencing a minor but annoying problem.

DECwindows tells me that me the custom settings have changed and asks
if I want to save them *every* time I quit (except when I explicitly
save them through the customization popup).
I can log in, quit, and say yes to save the settings, then log in again,
and quit (no movement of windows, no changed settings) and it asks me
    again.
I even moved all of the .dat files, copied the defaults in and started
from scratch, and the same thing happens.
It is very irritating to have that save settings widget come up every
    time I quit.
    Any ideas?

| | I saw this too. Moved to DECWindows V3. to fix it.
