    We have UWS 4.0 (DECstation 3100, X-client) and VMS 5.3 (X-server).
    After starting an dx-application (dxcalc -d vmsnod::0) the appl.
    appears at the x-server. After moving or clicking the mouse within the
    application window the x-client crashes with the following error
    message:
    
    XIO: fatal IO error 32 Broken pipe on X server "vmsnod::0.0"
         after 171 requests (171 known processed) with 0 events remaining.
         The connection was probably broken by a server shutdown or
         KillClient.
    
    ULTRIX and VMS system are communicating via DECnet.
    
    Xserver is still running after error message.
    
    Any ideas ??????
