    After performing a VMS V5.4 upgrade my FILE VIEW application
    window is missing applications like DECWRITE, DECDECISION
    etc...
    
    Did a file get replaced in DECW$SYSTEM_DEFAULTS that may have
    had my old references.  I can run DECWRITE but I have to set display.
    	
    
    Can anyone help.

    Do a dir vue$library:write*.*. Do you see:
    
    epik> dir vue$library:write*
    
    Directory SYS$COMMON:[VUE$LIBRARY.USER]
    
    WRITE$VUE.COM;135   WRITE$VUE_PROFILE.VUE$DAT;17
    
    Total of 2 files.
    
    VMS upgrades are not supposed to touch the [.user] directories. Note
    that the write$vue.com file does not do a set display for you. Did you
    you have your own custom fileview comamnd procedures to run these apps?

There should also be DECdecision and DECchart files there:
