Hi everyone,
I have a question regarding decw$* files. These files, by default I
believe, are created in the root directory. Can I set some logical or
do something to direct these files to some other location.
I was playing around and defined "DECW$USER_DEFAULTS" logical.
This worked for directing "VUE$PROFILE.VUE$DAT" and "DECW$CLOCK.DAT"
files. But there are other files I am concerned with also. Files
such as "DECW$WINMGR.DAT", "DECW$SM_GENERAL.DAT", and
"DECW$SM_COLOR.DAT". Any help is appreciated in advance. Thank you.

I think you need job logical names to direct them because they get
read before decw$login gets run.

| I am not sure what you mean by job logicals. And also I don't have
decw$login file, I just have my login.com file. Do I need the
decw$login? Thanks.
