Is the print screen still on problem on the Firefox under 5.3
SDC release??? I have a customer running 5.3 with V2 DECwindows
on a 3540 who claims that 'Print Entire Screen' still causes session
manager to fail. If he does a 'Print Portion of the Screen', the
cross appears and soon after session manager fails.
I can't gain access to a Firefox to verify this. We checked
process quotas and other obvious things and can't find a problem.
He's not using color.
FWIW: Here's the output of his server log:
21-DEC-1989 11:10:36.5 Hello, this is the X server

| 2073.1 | Same problems - page file allocation problem | SCOTMN::WOOD | El Vaquero | Thu Apr 12 1990 04:41 | 24 |
Whilst working on a customer problem I had the same problem. After
investigating, it seems that pgflquota is gobbled up by the session
manager process whilst printing ('Capture portion') and then it is
not released for use again. After about six prints (pgflquota = 25000),
selcting the print option returned 'Fatal Internal Library Error' and
selecting it again caused the session manager to crash with an ACCVIO
(VA = 00000000).
Whilst performing the above procedure, 'show proc/quot' on the
session manager showed the reduction in pgflquota and this was confirmed
by 'show mem/files' which indicated a large page file usage inconsistant
with the work load on the system.
I have tested this on my own system ( VS3520 ) and also on a
PVAX (VS3100/30) but not extensively on that system.
Has anybody else experienced this problem and does anybody have any
possible solutions.
Thanks for any info.
Richard
