I have a seed workstation that everytime the customer logs out, he
gets the following error printed after the screen goes black and
before the login banner comes up:

    	Connection #3 to Server broken
    	XIO pipe.

The system is a DECstation 3100, UWS 2.1, and is nfs sharing a
large # of disks with some SUNs. /tmp is local.

There are no errors in /usr/adm/X0msgs.

    	Any ideas?

| Sounds kind of like the server is crashing. Is there a large core file in /? Jeff | |||||

| none. this is confusing. The system, by the way, is one of these
DECstation seeds that are pre-loaded at the factory. It worked fine
initially, but now it does not.
