Is there an efficient way of displaying a large amount of text data and
then changing the font of a sub_string ?
The S Text widget does not allow much in the way of highlighting
or changing the font of substrings . A Compound string seems to
offer more capability but is it efficient when handling large amounts
of text data ?
Any ideas or tips would be very useful .

If you are just displaying the data and not interactively editing,
then I don't think that the compound string text widget will be
noticably less efficient.
