I tried submitting this in the Fileview notesfile with no answer. Any help
would be appreciated. The customer wants an explanation.
I've run into an interesting situation with Ultrix FileView and a third
party application. The application is an IBM 3270 emulator that works
over TCP/IP. The application uses a DecWindows interface with a list
box for selecting hosts and maintaining host lists. The application
works just fine when invoked from a decterm window or when started
up via the crontab. However if you try to exec it from FileView, the
task gets a memory fault error on a DS3100 and a VS3100 running Ultrix.
The application never gets a chance to execute.
Has anyone seen this before and/or know a fix to make it work? Its
interesting to note that if the customer execs the following command
it works:
exec xterm -e tnsh <-- application name.
As long as its invoked from a terminal window it works.
Any help appreciated.

I will. I was only wondering if anyone had seen the behaviour before.
Thanks for the response.
