I have a 5 node cluster to which I just added a 5th satellite node (VS2000)
and the CLUSTER_CONFIG.COM added the node just fine.  

HOWEVER, when I go to login, (any account) the colors change correctly and the
icon box comes up, BUT THAT IS IT!

It *freezes* here forever (or at least 1/2 hour).  I believe I ran into this
problem once before on a standalone system, and it turned out to be the
protection on some file??!!?!?! (maybe?)

any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

	Use AUTOGEN with feedback if you haven't done so already, then check to be sure you have enough GBLPAGES and GBLSECTIONS in sysgen.

	RE: .1, sorry, VMS V5.1-1 and DECW 5.1. RE: .2 Yes, I have run the autogen and GBLPAGES=20700 & GBLSECTIONS=300. I was sure it was a file protection thing? This doesn't ring any bells? $$$$ ted $$$$

	Take a look at the DECW$SM.LOG (I think that's the right name). There might be some clues in there. /Mike

	Actually, taking a look at the ncp counters may provide some info too, if its an ni/hw problem. ��

	My system exhibited the same symptoms...the problem seemed to be caused by version skew in DECwindows...I had installed in the following order: VMS V5.2 SSB MUP DECWIFT1020 VMS T5.2-1 ...and logging in produced the color change and Icon Box, but nothing more. Reinstallation of DECWIFT1020 remedied this problem. Danny

	Ted, Since you say you just added this system to your cluster, I suggest that you look at the size of your page file. You will probably find that it is too small. Hope this helps, Marat
