Page 2-5 of the VMS DECwindows Device Driver Manual states that
to access the physical devices for the screen, keyboard and pointer
one should use the logical names DECW$WORKSTATION, DECW$KEYBOARD,
and DECW$POINTER respectively.
I can't locate any variant of DECW$WORKSTATION anywhere - has it been
replaced by DECW$SERVER_SCREENS (in the DECW$SERVERn_TABLE) as this
appears to hold the name of the physical screen device ? [eg., GCA0]
Thanks,
Frank
[ It would also be helpful to document that the names DECW$KEYBOARD
and DECW$POINTER live in the table DECW$SERVERn_TABLE (and as such
are not visible by default). ].

Yes. DECW$WORKSTATION is defunct. Thank you for noticing. Of course,
the existance of any of these names assumes that DECW$STARTUP has run,
in which case the server is probably running, in which case, you can't
access the driver. (I know...you stopped the server first...)
