I have a problem with my DECwindows (running VMS 5.2-42N). When I
create the 3rd (or may be the 4th) terminal window, the Session
Manager window disappears and the only way I can recover is to
reboot the system.
Has anyone else seen this behavior?

Check your sysgen parameter GBLPAGFIL. To low a value can cause
problems like you've seen. A setting of 16384 would be appropriate.
