| | I cannot find 'DECW$TAILOR.*' anywhere on my system disk! Is there
    anything else I can use?

That's really the only way.. Are you SURE that DECW$TAILOR.EXE is
not in SYS$UPDATE? (Pull it out of the VMS savesets along with
	DECW$TAILOR.TEMPLATE if need be..)

| | DECW$TAILOR only exists on VMS 5.2 systems that are T5.2-41M or
later. If you aren't running 5.2, the best you can do is to
look in Appendix B of the VMS Version 5.1 Installation Guide
for the names of the files provided during the programming
    environment installation.

| | Funny how the institional memory of that field test kit called
    DECWDELETE000.A is so long-lived?

In any case, if you are running software less than a year old, there
should be files in SYS$UPDATE called DECW$TAILOR.EXE and
DECW$TAILOR_ON.TEMPLATE that support tailoring of the DECwindows
    environment.

It's documented. Note 499 discusses some of its limitations here.
