         I found the following error while trying to run an image
         linked with debug:
         
         $link/debug uetunas00
         $run uetunas00
         X Toolkit Error: Can't Open display
         %DWT-F-DWTABORT, xtoolkit fatal error
         %DEBUG-E-INTERR, internal debugger error in initialization
         - Error returned from
          XT$INITIALIZE
         %NONAME-W-NOMSG, Message number 00000000

         The system is a 780 running VAX/VMS T5.2-40J in a cluster.

         The image is an ethernet adapter test and does not use
         DECwindows.  It ran fine on vms 5.1.  I tried starting
         DECwindows but that didn't help.
