| 370.1 | More than one CPU? | DELNI::REO_VBO | Mon Mar 13 1989 09:36 | 7 | |
| Are you by any chance run on a peice of hardware that has more than
    one CPU in it?

    Thanks

    is that the problem?

| It could be the problem. I've seen banner very occasionally give
    an Arethmetic fault, when there have been multiple CPU's and you
    have asked for indevidual histograms for each CPU. There seems to
    be a window in the code, that haven't found yet, that bombs, under
    rare cercumstances, when doing the summing of the cpu data. I wouldn't
    be to suprised about a TBIT trap here as well.

    Are you getting this all the time, or just on rare oaccasions, and
    do you have a multi-cpu histogram requested (I believe the toggle,
    is called multi-cpu's or something like that, on the setup option)?
    You can try disabling the multi-cpu histogram by turning off the
    above toggle, that seems to close the window I mentioned. I'm
    still trying to find the window in the code which is at fault here.

    Let me know if this help,

    Jim

| 370.4 | Master Control Gone? | OIWS19::WALTERS | Thu Mar 16 1989 11:38 | 12 | |
| Has anyone seen this problem with DECW$BANNER?

    Whe I invoke it, everything seems to come up, but what I thing is
    the master control box comes up, then flashes and goes away. I
    am left with all the seperate boxes, but no way to customize, etc...

    Is this normal behavior?

    Thanks,

    Brian.
