Is there any chance that a future version of DECwindows will support
    the Lynx (VS8000)?

| I don't know the answer, but the new Sales Update (Vol. 20 No. 17
    - March 6, 1989) has an artilce entitled:

Announcing the Retirement of the VAXstation 8000

Final order date is March 31, 1989. Part number moved to Maintenance
    Only June 30, 1989.

Wouldn't make a lot of sense to me to include hardware support for
a processor that is on the way out.
