A VERY STRANGE thing happened when moving DECwindows from a UVAX-II/GPB
over to a VS2000 (image backup of disk used for xfer).

Where the GPX seemed to work just fine the VS2000 now does the
    following:
      1. Inside a DECterm window a double <return> is required for
          every carriage-return.
      2. If I hit the left <arror> key or the backspace key the
cursor will go character-by-character to the beginning of
the line... sort of an auto-"auto-repeat" mode.
      3. If I've setup different windows with different colors when
I click on a window all of the windows take on the same color
along with a screen change in color.

    I'm running VMS051 with DECW051.

    Thanks.

| 224.1 | keyboard hw/sw? | STAR::BMATTHEWS | Thu Feb 16 1989 11:12 | 4 | |
| Part of this sounds like the keyboard hw and sw are not in synch. Try unplugging and plugging the keyboard back in again. Bill | |||||

| Tried doing the keyboard already... same results.

    Thanks anyway.

| Interesting - point (1) used to happen a *lot* in the early days of Firefox, mostly when the machine was HALTed/CONTinued. Is there any chance this might be the case? | |||||

| 3: machine was HALTed/CONTinued.

Nope... happens as soon as I reboot the system. Doesn't require
me to do anything special or "funny".
