    As I read through this conference, I am reading of systems running
    SDC DECWindows.  I am running the kit from VMSKIT:: dated from
    16-DEC-1988 or so with the updated INDRIVER.EXE
    
    Am I, in fact, running the SDC version?

Just check the "about" window in the session manager "help" menu.
If you're running SDC V5.1, it will say:

	Software Version: VMS Version 5.1

If you're running any of the previous non-v5.1 base levels, it will
helpfully say:

	Software Version: VMS Version 5.1
