Does anyone know of plans/products providing TEK 4XXX emulation
(preferably the most "up to date" rather than what is now available
under UIS) under DECwindows? There are some people out here that
will take a few years to catch the "wave" of XUI and need interium
TE's to bridge to existing applications/systems (and not have 2
boxes on their desk's).
Help with this low TEK question appreciated.

Huh? Considering that there are *no* DECwindows TEK emulators, you
got a lotta nerve with the comment about UIS :-), which has both
4010/14 and a 4125 shipping (SDC submit) with V4.1 in a couple weeks.
But if you must, contact Eric Osman who is porting a X11 version
of the 4125 to DECwindows (geeze, I didn't think you had to "port"
X11 to DECwindows... :-)

Fred,
I would'nt have been so angry, but for my two cents;
In your private mail message to hannah::osman ask him if there are
any notesfiles on the subject, and where they might be located.
Yes VWS is far more mature, and it has more history. But I can remember
quite a few empassioned pleas for terminal emulators (outside TEK41xx
also) even prior to version 3.x. I even called you a couple times
asking for folks to talk to, and thankfully you came through as
you have again in this case (if somewhat more impatient).
Regards,
Mike Weaver
