The DECwindows_old conference hasn't shown up yet. Will it
be here soon?

Can we expect that backups in the future will be handled
in a professional manner? There are other ways to back up a file
than using a local tape drive. Because of the nature of X and
DEC windows, many people have to ask many questions, and this notes
file has been extremely vaulable. I'm always very shocked when I
learn of a valuable resource not being backed up. I recently read
of "years of research destroyed by a PC computer virus." I've never
heard of a virus that can destroy a backup floppy locked in a filing
cabinet.
