I happened to be driving past the Rusty Scupper yesterday PM and that put me in mind that (for me at least) it's been FAR too long since the last =wn= gathering. Heard of any coming up soon? I don't recall any in the file save for the UK party, sigh for us GMA types. And here we're approaching the Holiday Season, and you know how crazy-busy it gets from about a couple weeks into November until the January Doldrums hit. So howzabout we could have a Just For The Hell Of It thingie, without coalescing around some particular visiting precipitant? If it'd help, I'd be happy to wear my old pith helmet and play a visiting DECcie =wn=er from the Stanleyville office... Or if somebody farflung is planning to be in GMA sometime soon, sing out and we'll rle-play a supersaturated solution around YOU. It doesn't have to be the Scupper... I recall a very nice Chinese restaurant (in Maynard somewhere?) that was FAR quieter than the Scupper bar... and the food was GREAT. What say, folks? Up for a =wn= party proposed by a feminist person of the male persuasion? I make so bold as to propose the MaynardMystery Chinese Food restaurant, for Lunch on Friday Nov. 8th. Fifteen days out, to have a chance of finding a clear day; Lunch, so you can tell all your colleagues that you're "taking a Power Lunch With The Old Feminist Network;" Friday, to get you interested in its TGIF aspects. Takers? Unexpected visitors in that timeframe? Alternative time or venue suggestions? Eggs? Rotten Vegetables? Cheers, Dan +-o=o-> Kalikow (-: OK, so I left out +-o=o-+ & <-o=o-> & X=o->/o-+ :-)

| Dan,
Sounds lovely. I usually have a 1:30 Mac meeting Friday afternoon. So
I may have to leave early, unless I can convince the group that you're a
    resource. :^)

Margaret (who lives 6 colors theses days)

Gee, Dan, with your p-name, I thought you were proposing a survivors
party!! :-) Which would actually be a good idea! Also, I was
thinking of hosting a party in the near future --after-- the holidays
to show you "easteners" that there is *indeed* life past 495!! :-)
More on that later as I think of *some* kind of reason to have one!

---Hmmm, An "I survived :DIGITAL note # 1616." party. Could even have
    T-shirts made up!! -----

Friday afternoon sounds good, as I am done work at 7 am and could
*actually* make a party on that day--as long as someone put me up for
    the night! :-)
