Be careful when trying to treat something like that
by adjusting the ph of the affected area. As we are
constructed, we (individuals) have an "optimum" ph
in which hopefully, we can grow a nice balance of
"flora and fauna" (microbiologists of the world really
get into this stuff). When the ph gets shifted for
whatever reason, our collective flora and fauna get
out of whack and a yeast infection is one of the things
that can result from that. Some folks seem to be in
a constant state of yeast infections or bacterial infections
or whatever and have a terrible time as a result. While
I think that trying to treat it symptomatically is goodness
from a relief standpoint, it might be real good to get off
to a medic and see what is *causing* the problem. Might be
diet, stress, something environmental, whatever. Also, sometimes
an attempt to fix one problem will cause a shift in the
opposite direction and then we have another problem which
    	can be equally painful/annoying.
Academically, there are a lot of books out about Yeast Infections
that your cousin might like to read just to get a handle on this.
    	Wishing your cousing good luck.
