681.0. "Roommate Wanted - Marlboro, MA" by CAESAR::FOSTER () Tue Jan 29 1991 17:56
I'm looking for a female roommate to share a 2-bedroom 2-bath apartment in the
Windsor Heights complex in Marlboro, MA. The rent is $760, and I'm willing to
split it $450/$310... I want the bathroom! :-)
Although it would be nice to pay less rent, my real reason for wanting a
roommate is for companionship. I am a 27 year old black woman with a materials
engineering degree; I currently work in Hudson for the Advanced Semiconductor
Development group. I am very empathic and open person. I love sharing with
others, doing things with others, helping others. I do not enjoy being to
myself. I am looking for someone else who is like me in not wanting to be
alone, needing privacy only occasionally.
My roommate should be reasonably neat but not obsessive, tolerant of r&b,
jazz, classical, pop, or better still QUIET. She should not be addicted to TV;
if she is, she should be happy watching it in her room. A Star Trek fan would
be a plus, though. She must LOVE cats; I have two. And she does not smoke,
drink to excess, do drugs or intend to have wild sex orgies in her room; when
the door is closed, I don't expect to hear things! Nor should she expect her
lover to be allowed more that half a week's occupancy, or mooching privileges.
My fondest hope is that my roommate will be someone whom I can become friends
with.

    You're going to make your roommate use the outhouse!

| | Not quite. In a 2-bed 2-bath apartment, one of the bathrooms is in the
    bedroom. That's the bedroom I want, mainly so that I will have one more
    room that can be a pigsty and also so that the cats can have their
    litterbox in there without offending anyone. Makes it easier for me to
    lock them in when I have cat-allergic visitors.

    Clear? No outhouses!
