411.0. "MSc.?" by YUPPY::DAVIESA (Artemis'n'me...) Mon Oct 01 1990 12:02

I've just come across the following brief for a course leading
to an MSc. It's designed for graduates from non-science disciplines,
and takes a year to complete.

If any of you have taken a course like this I'd really appreciate your
views on how tough you found it, how enjoyable it was, and how it's
influenced your career as a qualification. Also your views on which of
the optional subjects would be most "bankable" would be welcome....

    COMPULSORY MODULES:

    - Computer Systems
    - Communications Systems
    - Programming Principles and Methods
    - Systems Life-Cycles
    - Organisations and management - General
    OR
    - Organisations and Management - A Women's Perspective
    - Management Information Systems
    - Data Management
    - Systems Software

PLUS CHOOSE TWO FROM THE FOLLOWING:

    - Software Engineering
    - Intelligent Knowledge-Based Systems
    - Human Comuter Interface
    - Concurrent Systems
    - Computer Integrated Manufacture
    - Intelligent Robotics
    - Two-dimensional Graphics

Interestingly, for tutorial work I'd have a choice of a mixed stream or
    a wmnn-only stream....
