    I find it very difficult to say "bye", Steve.  You will certainly be
    missed by everyone who knows you.

    Thank you so, my good and dear friend, Melinda; I am so very
    honored.  And I cannot conceive of a greater, more cherished
    gift than the loving care of such a friend whom I so greatly
    admire.  I will truly miss the fellowship and community of 
    NOTES precisely because of people like you.  Most especially
    I'll miss Womannotes.
                    
    Thank you, Mel, Maggie and all of you who've sent such kind wishes.
    May the god of your understanding bless you and all the wonderful

    Mumble, I was just reminded that I already HAVE something planned for
    later Thursday evening, so I could only make it till about 7 or 7:30
    anyway. Sigh. Don't change plans just to accomodate me, but I still
    vote for some day earlier than Friday that week if you're taking votes.

    One of  my housemates moved out a month ago, so we do have a spare
    room. It has wall to wall carpet, which makes it more comfortable,
    but  please  don't do anything there which would make cleaning the
    carpet difficult.

    Also, there is a microwave in the kitchen, so Ann can get her food
    almost as hot as her unitard.
