While I haven't personally tried them, I did give them to my brother
as a Christmas gift. He really likes them and considering his car
is his office and he spends most of the day on the road, I'd say it
was a good reccommendation. The biggest difference he noticed was that
he isn't as fatiqued at the end of the day. FWIW - I got the car
seat at Spags for $10.98, and have seen them in Bradlees for about
$15.00, not the $35.00 usually seen in catalogs.

| | Both of my parents use the car seats and really like them. It was
highly recommended by a friend who is a physical therapist.

They are small enough that the 'balls' themselves do not hurt.

The principal is that anything suitably 'meshy' or 'resiliant' enough
that you can place between you and the leather/upholstery, allows
air to circulate...which makes you *ever* so much more comfortable.

The 'balls' affair also adds the attraction of adhering to the
circulations theory...they can rotate, so as you shift weight, they
    move, stimulating circulation....you feel better.

My husband, who spends 8-12 hours a day on the road, swears
    by 'em.

| | Yes, I like 'em too. I commute 38 miles each way and they are
comfortable. Adds a bit of ventilation. I also have a physical
*terrorist*/therapist who says they're okay. Plus, If you drink
any thing while driving;-) and spill some it goes thru the beads
    and away from your clothing.

I like to use a Sadhu style seat cushion myself...

It helps prevent falling asleep at the wheel...
