| I have three suggestions for you:
1. Call the Morgan Memorial Goodwill Donation Information number:
(617) 427-6691
They do state that the Concord Trailer, located on 211 Sudbury
Road, in the Stop and Shop Plaza is open 9-5 Monday-Saturday.
2. In Hudson, MA on Main Street, there is a Salvation Army Store.
3. Your local church or home for the elderly will usually accept
the donation. There are a lot of older people who are alone in
the world and only have a minimum number of bland outfits to wear.
A new item of clothing to them, as well as a visit is well worth
their genuine smiles of appreciation. Please don't worry about
style or sizing.
*** Please note for items 1 and 2, you will receive a tax receipt (I'm
not sure about 3). Small appliances and household goods are also
gladly accepted. ***

You might want to contact these Boston shelters: Rosie's Place and
The Pine Street Inn to see if/when they accept clothing donations.
Rosie's does it on a weekly basis, I believe.
You might also call Mother's Cupboard (food depot) in Malden for contacts
that would be interested in receiving clothing donations.

Also, at the Acton dump there are three large red metal bins for
used clothes (I think they're Salvation Army). They are off to
the right of where you throw your trash, in the recycling area.

| "A Place To Turn" on Hartford Street in Natick takes clothing and
distributes it to the shelters and other needy people. Many shelters
don't take clothes. No space, fire hazzard.

| There is a manned Goodwill tractor-trailer at the Wayland town
du-- er, landfill every Saturday, 9-4.

| There's a Goodwill type trailer in the Star Market parking lot on Rt 20 in
Sudbury. (Right across from the Raytheon plant.) I have given them lots of
clothes, for which they always seem happy, and I think they're open every day
during the week ('cept Sunday).

| I also suggest the domestic violence assiociation's safe house. they
always need clothing for people who ususally don't have time to pack.

| There's a Salvation Army store on Main St. in Fitchburg that will
take your clothing and give you a receipt if you also want the tax
deduction. I was just there on Saturday as I just cleaned out all
our closets, and I had about 4 bags of clothing to give away.

| The Community Supper in Acton (263-2332) accepts clothes from 3:30-5:30
on Wednesday. I've never gotten a receipt, as I've just dropped
them off inside the door. People who come for a meal go throughh
the clothes, taking what they need. Extras are then given to Goodwill.

| In Fitchburg, theres and organization called:
Our Fathers House
Our Fathers Closet (for clothes)
Our Fathers Supper (?)
Each part is sponsored by a different church, but all share the
common goal of providing for the those who haven't.
